Ukrainian Maksim Miroshnichenko (182-PG-1996, agency: BIG) put on an amazing game in the last round for league’s leader Borisfen and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 26-year old playmaker had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds and seven assists for Borisfen in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Impuls BGUIR (#5, 8-17) 89-75. It allowed Borisfen to consolidate first place in the Belarusian Premier League. Borisfen have a solid 21-4 record. In the team’s last game Miroshnichenko had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Maksim Miroshnichenko averages this season 11.2ppg and 5.2apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young Ilya Sharipov (198-SF-1991) of second-ranked Grodno. Sharipov impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Grodno lost that game 87-97 to slightly lower-ranked Rubon (#3, 17-10). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Grodno still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team’s 19-6 record is not bad at all. Sharipov is a newcomer at Grodno and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Armenian forward Victor Ovsepyan (202-F-1991) of Rubon (#3). Ovsepyan scored 17 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Rubon, leading his team to a 97-87 win against #2 ranked Grodno. Rubon needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 10 lost games. Ovsepyan has a very solid season. In 27 games in Belarus he scored 12.5ppg. He also has 7.7rpg and FGP: 73.0%. The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
