CS-Rapid-Bucuresti (Liga Nationala) signed 33-year old American point guard Jay Threatt (180cm-1989, college: Delaware State). Threatt started the season at FC Porto in Portuguese Liga Betclic. In 6 games he had 7.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.7apg and 1.2spg. He also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 6.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 8.0apg and 1.0spg.
Threatt is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Finland (Nokia), France (Pau Lacq Orthez, Denain Voltaire and Poitiers), Germany (MLP Academics Threattidelberg), Greece (Larissa BC), Hungary (Sopron KC), Iceland (Snaefell), Kosovo (Ylli), Lithuania (Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys), Poland (Stal and Wilki Morskie) and Romania (Galati).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team made it to the Polish Cup Final Four in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Polish League Honorable Mention back in 2020.
Threatt graduated from Delaware State in 2012 and it is his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
