Panteras-de-Miranda (SPB) landed 31-year old American ex-international 203cm forward Julian Washburn (college: UTEP). Washburn played most recently at London Lions in British BBL league. He managed to play in three leagues last year . The team played in four different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 26 BBL games he averaged 8.5ppg, 6.9rpg and 2.0apg. Washburn helped them to make it to the British BBL final and Cup semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com British BBL All-Defensive Team. He also played 12 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 8.3ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.6apg. And finally he recorded 1 game in Basketball Champions League where he got 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block.
Washburn has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. He was a member of USA Senior National Team back in 2018.
Washburn is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. Washburn has played previously professionally in Germany (Tigers), Mexico (Dorados), New Zealand (Rams), NBA (San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies), NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Delaware Blue Coats and Memphis Hustle) and NBA Summer League (GS Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies). He was also selected to C-USA All-Defensive Team back in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Washburn won NBA G League championship title in 2018.
He graduated from University of Texas at El Paso in 2015 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
