The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked MBA-2 (27-7) in Moscow on Wednesday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Zenit-2 (22-12) 85-54. Zenit-2 outrebounded MBA-2 51-30 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by MBA-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Artem Antipov (201-2004, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and center Egor Ryzhov (203-2004, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Maksim Savchenko (208-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 22-12 record. MBA-2 at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. Zenit-2 are looking forward to face higher ranked Runa-2 (#3) in Moscow in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
