An interesting game for Dubrovnik (17-1) which hosted in Dubrovnik 4th ranked Kastela (11-6). First ranked Dubrovnik had an easy win 83-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kastela. Dubrovnik made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kastela 30-18 including 24 on the defensive glass. Dubrovnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Javon Levi (180-1998, college: UT Arlington, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 assists. Petar Dubelj (196-1997) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Ante Perkusic (196-2002) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds for Kastela. Kastela’s coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dubrovnik have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Kastela at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Kvarner 2010. Dubrovnik are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Sonik P. (#12) in Zadar in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kastela will play at home against Samobor (#11) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Bottom-ranked Sonik P. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to eighth ranked Mladost (7-11) 102-78. Guard Luka Mrsic (193-2002) scored 24 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Marko Ljubicic chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Dominik Zelanto (198-2000) with 19 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Mladost maintains eighth position with 7-11 record. Sonik P. at the other side still closes the standings. Mladost will play against higher ranked Kvarner 2010 (#5) in Rijeka in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sonik P. will play at home against the league’s leader Dubrovnik (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

Even a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds by Bruno Levanic-Kutin did not help to save the game for Zagreb. Kvarner 2010 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kastela. Newly promoted Zagreb dropped to the third position with five games lost. Kvarner 2010 will meet Mladost (#8) in the next round. Zagreb will play against Omis-Cagalj T. (#6) in Galeb and hope to secure a win.
