Rhamel Brown
American Forward Rhamel Brown (201-F-92, agency: BIG) had a very impressive game in the last round for Kataja, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Seagulls (#2, 13-6) 78-64. Kataja maintains the 9th position in Finnish Korisliiga. Kataja is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-11 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Brown as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Rhamel Brown averages this season 7.6ppg and 7.1rpg.
The second best player in last round’s games was 37-year old Finnish Shawn Huff (198-SF-84) of league’s second-best Seagulls. Huff had a very good evening with a double-double of 13 points and 10 assists. Bad luck as Seagulls was edged by the lower-ranked Pyrinto (#6, 10-9) 79-76. Seagulls managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. His team’s 13-6 record is not bad at all. Huff is one of the most experienced players at Seagulls and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Ike Smith (193-G-97) of Pyrinto (#6). Smith scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Pyrinto, leading his team to a 79-76 win against the higher-ranked Seagulls (#2, 13-6). Pyrinto needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 9 lost games. Smith has a very solid season. In 6 games in Finland he scored 24.0ppg. He also has 6.3rpg and FGP: 60.5%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
