Matthew Butler
26-year old guard Matthew Butler (188-G-95) had a great game in the last round for Vllaznia and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 22 points adding eight rebounds and eight assists for Vllaznia in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Kamza (2-7) 85-79. Vllaznia maintains the 8th position in Liga Unike . Too late to improve their position as they are currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 7 games and recorded just two victories. Butler turned to be Vllaznia’s top player in his first season with the team. Matthew Butler averages this season 12.6ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Stephen Maxwell (201-F-93) of league’s second-best Peja. He is American forward in his first season at Peja. In the last game Maxwell recorded impressive 32 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Peja was edged by slightly higher-ranked Ylli (#1, 8-1) 90-87. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Peja still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team’s 6-3 record is not bad at all. Maxwell is a newcomer at Peja and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.2ppg (#2). He also registered 8.4 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to center Endrit Hysenagolli (208-C-88) of Tirana (#5). Hysenagolli got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for eighteen rebounds . Despite Hysenagolli’s great performance Tirana lost 89-107 to slightly higher-ranked Prizreni-16 (#3, 6-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Tirana ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hysenagolli could help Tirana to bring them higher in the standings. Hysenagolli has a great season in Liga Unike. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 19.7ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 12.4rpg (#1 in league).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
