Bruno Caboclo
27-year old power forward Bruno Caboclo (206-PF-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ulm and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 33 points adding eight rebounds for Ulm in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Bursaspor (#8, 6-7) 92-86. Ulm is placed at 3rd position in EuroCup. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Ulm will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. In the team’s last game Caboclo had a remarkable 82.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ulm’s top player in his first season with the team. Bruno Caboclo averages this season 18.3ppg and 8.3rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Yoeli Childs (203-PF-1998) of Hamburg. He is American forward in his first season at Hamburg. In the last game Childs recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Hamburg was edged by the higher-ranked Promitheas (#4, 8-5) 105-103. Hamburg managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 4-9 record. Childs is a newcomer at Hamburg and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to center Chinanu Onuaku (207-C-1996, agency: MSG) of H.Tel-Aviv (#3). Onuaku scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of H.Tel-Aviv, leading his team to a 78-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Trento (#9, 2-11). H.Tel-Aviv needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 4 lost games. Onuaku has a great season in EuroCup. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 8.3rpg (4th best). He also has 1.4bpg and FGP: 57.6%.
