Center Karlis Silins (209-C-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Liepaja, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 13 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Kalev/Cramo (#3, 15-3) 92-93. Liepaja maintains the 10th position in LAT-EST BL . Liepaja is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 14th lost game this season out of 23 games. In the team’s last game Silins had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at Liepaja and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Former Florida Atlantic University star has very solid stats this year. Silins is in league’s top in points (4th best: 17.5ppg), rebounds (6th best: 8.6rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 64.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round’s games was young American Devin Harris (182-PG-1992) of Viimsi. Harris had a very good evening with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Viimsi lost that game 84-103 to slightly higher-ranked Rapla (#7, 13-11). This loss caused Viimsi to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 12-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Harris is well-known at Viimsi and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Alterique Gilbert (183-PG-1997) of Kalev/Cramo (#3). Gilbert got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was a key player of Kalev/Cramo, leading his team to a 93-92 win against the lower-ranked Liepaja (#10, 9-14). Kalev/Cramo is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 15-3 record is not that bad… Gilbert has a very solid season. In 11 games in LAT-EST BL he scored 12.9ppg. He also has 3.4apg and FGP: 51.2%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
