American Jerai Grant (203-C/F-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) put on an amazing game in the last round for Budivelnyk, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (16 points, seven rebounds) to his team’s victory, helping them to edge out H.Be’er Sheva (#1, 5-1) 94-92. The game was between two of the league’s top four teams. Budivelnyk maintains the 3rd position in Balkan League . They are still close to the very top. Budivelnyk would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Grant as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Jerai Grant averages this season 10.2ppg and 5.8rpg.
The second best player in last round’s games was young American Alan Arnett (196-G-1994, agency: BIG) of Levski. Arnett had a very good evening with 26 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Levski was edged by slightly higher-ranked Beroe (#4, 3-2) 85-82. Levski is still second from the bottom in the standings. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Levski managed to get this year. Arnett is a newcomer at Levski, but is already one of team’s top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#1). He also recorded 3.3 assists per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian swingman Joaquin Shuchman (193-G/F-1995) of league’s top team H.Be’er Sheva. Shuchman scored 22 points and passed five assists. Despite Shuchman’s great performance H.Be’er Sheva lost 92-94 to #3 ranked Budivelnyk. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. H.Be’er Sheva had another “accident”. It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Shuchman’s teammates are also very good. That’s why having such high stats is even more impressive. Shuchman has a very solid season. In 6 games in Balkan League he scored 8.2ppg.

10. David Efianayi (188-G-1995) of H.Be’er Sheva – 12 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
