It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Twarde Pierniki. American forward Benjamin Simons (203-1991, college: Drake) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Myke Henry chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Serbian guard Vasa Pusica (196-1995, college: Northeastern) responded with 18 points and 6 assists. Twarde Pierniki’s coach Milos Mitrovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Enea Astoria (4-10) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Sokol. Twarde Pierniki at the other side dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Enea Astoria will play against higher ranked MKS DG (#11) in Dabrowa Gornicza in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Twarde Pierniki will play on the road against GTK (#12) in Gliwice and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Even 16 points and 5 assists by Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz did not help to save the game for Enea Zastal. Undefeated WKS Slask have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-0 record. Loser Enea Zastal keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Spojnia. WKS Slask will meet Sokol (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Enea Zastal will play against Legia (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14: Start was beaten by MKS DG on the road 92-91. Arka won against Anwil on its own court 93-79. GTK managed to outperform Czarni in Gliwice 60-49. Spojnia rolled over Sokol at home 96-63. Stal crushed Legia on the opponent’s court 96-68.

Slask – Stal 83-68
