The round 22 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Basketligan top team – Boras (15-3) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Fryshuset (0-16) 93-55. Boras looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Fryshuset’s players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Anton Cook (189-1995, college: SE Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists. The other American import forward Ryan Logan (200-1994, college: Stonehill) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Boras’ coach Henrik Svensson felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin center Miki Novovic (208-1992) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Fryshuset. Boras maintains first position with 15-3 record. Fryshuset at the other side still closes the standings. Boras are looking forward to face Kalmar (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fryshuset will play against Norrkoping and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Nassjo was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Umea (14-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Nassjo (8-7). Umea managed to secure a 8-point victory 105-97. American forward Bryan Jefferson (201-1994, college: Mary) had a triple-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists (perfect from the field making all 85 shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Gustav Hansson chipped in 30 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all 85 shots !!!) during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-1992, college: Oregon St.) responded with 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all 89 shots !!!). Umea maintains second position with 14-5 record behind leader Boras. Nassjo at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Umea will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nassjo will play on the road against Jamtland (#3) in Ostersund and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Other games in round 22 were not that significant. Kalmar was beaten by Koping Stars on the road 89-76. BC Lulea won against Sodertalje on its own court 105-95. Uppsala unfortunately lost to Norrkoping in a road game 90-99.
The most impressive performance of 22th round was 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists by Adam Ramstedt of Norrkoping.

Koping Stars – Kalmar 89-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Koping Stars‘ (7-11) home victory over 10th ranked Kalmar (3-15) 89-76. Koping Stars shot the lights out from three nailing 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Travis McConico (198-1997, college: Charleston So.) scored 14 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard KeShawn Curry (195-1998, college: VCU) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Koping Stars players scored in double figures. Koping Stars’ coach Torbjorn Gehrke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side point guard Sebastian Sjoberg (186-2000) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and American Cameron DeLaney (193-1995, college: SHSU) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Koping Stars moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Uppsala. Kalmar lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. Koping Stars will play against higher ranked Sodertalje (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kalmar will play against the league’s leader Boras having rather not much hope for a victory.

BC Lulea – Sodertalje 105-95

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Sodertalje (8-10) lost on the road to fifth ranked BC Lulea (11-7) 105-95. BC Lulea outrebounded Sodertalje 36-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Sodertalje was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Belgian-American forward Michael Gilmore (208-1995, college: VCU) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Jonatan Arvidsson (184-1998, college: E.Wyoming) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. BC Lulea’s coach Peter Oqvist used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American point guard Josh Sharkey (175-1997, college: Samford) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and his fellow American import forward Ed Polite Jr (196-1997, college: Radford, agency: BIG) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. BC Lulea have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 11-7 record. Sodertalje at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. BC Lulea will play against Uppsala (#9) on the road in the next round. Sodertalje will play against Koping Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Umea well out of reach of Nassjo shooting 100.0 percent from the field. They also forced 22 Nassjo turnovers. Strangely Nassjo outrebounded Umea 486-416 including a 483-411 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 26 long-distance shots on high 100.0 percentage. Umea players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists. Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Norrkoping (11-5) won against at home 8th ranked Uppsala (7-11) 99-90. They outrebounded Uppsala 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. Norrkoping players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. International Adam Ramstedt (206-1995) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Tim Schuberg (188-1995) chipped in 21 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Anthony Mathis (193-1996, college: Oregon) responded with 30 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Jordan Shepherd (193, college: California) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Norrkoping and four Uppsala players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Jamtland. Newly promoted Uppsala keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Koping Stars. Norrkoping will play against bottom-ranked Fryshuset (#11) in Stockholm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Uppsala will play at home against BC Lulea and hopes to get back on the winning track.
