Round 10 most important game was a victory of Podgorica-2 over 6th ranked Balkanski Ris 92-72 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Balkanski Ris. Podgorica-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Balkanski Ris’ 32. Worth to mention a great performance of Lazar Vukcevic (203-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. Aleksa Jancic contributed with 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Podgorica-2’s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Holden Redpardh replied with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Balkanski Ris. Podgorica-2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kotor. Newly promoted Balkanski Ris dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Podgorica-2 is looking forward to face league’s second-placed Lim in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Balkanski Ris will play against Zeta (#10) in Golubovci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Rudar is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to second ranked Lim (8-1) 118-67. Danilo Joksimovic had a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Mihailo Stijovic chipped in 24 points during the contest. Lim’s coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Andrija Starcevic responded with 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Lim have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted Lim maintains second position with 8-1 record having just one point less than leader Pljevlja. Rudar at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. They share the position with Sedmica. Lim will play against Podgorica-2 (#4) on the road in the next round. Rudar will play against Ulcinj (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Bottom-ranked Sedmica is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to eighth ranked SC Derby 2 (5-3) 83-68 on Monday evening. David Mirkovic notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Krsto Miranovic did not help to save the game for Sedmica. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. SC Derby 2 moved-up to seventh place. Loser Sedmica still closes the standings with nine games lost. They share the position with Rudar. SC Derby 2’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Podgorica .

Other games in round 10 were not that significant. Montenegro smashed Akademik on the road 88-67. Kotor destroyed Zeta on its own court 93-73. Vukovi Zeta managed to outperform Ulcinj in Golubovci 72-66.
The most impressive performance of 10th round was 9 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists by Pavle Mijatovic of Sedmica.

Akademik – Montenegro 67-88

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Montenegro (7-2) crushed 9th ranked Akademik (3-6) in Podgorica 88-67 on Saturday. Center Nikola Bojicic (198-2001) notched 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Dusan Vasiljevic supported him with 18 points. Coach ‘s team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds by Radomir Kruska (203-1996) did not help to save the game for Akademik. Vladimir Asanin added 9 points for lost side. Montenegro maintains third position with 7-2 record behind leader Pljevlja. Loser Akademik keeps the ninth place with six games lost. Montenegro will meet at home Kotor (#5) in the next round. Akademik will play against the league’s leader Pljevlja (#1) and hope to secure a win.

Very expected game when 10th ranked Zeta (2-6) was smashed by fourth ranked Kotor (6-3) in Kotor4 93-73 on Saturday. Kotor dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Zeta’s 32. They outrebounded Zeta 42-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Kotor looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Zeta’s players. Guard Srdjan Subotic (193-1980) notched 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Petar Crepulja (195-1994) supported him with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds by power forward Dejan Posuka (197-1997) did not help to save the game for Zeta. Djordjije Tatar (-2002) added 10 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Kotor maintains fourth position with 6-3 record, which they share with Podgorica 2. Zeta lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with six games lost. Kotor will meet higher ranked Montenegro (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Zeta will play against Balkanski Ris (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Vukovi Zeta (6-4) won against 11th ranked Ulcinj (1-7) in Ulcijn 72-66 on Saturday. Vukovi Zeta forced 19 Ulcinj turnovers. Drazen Otasevic notched 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Dusan Markovic supported him with 17 points. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by center Aleksandar Milic (207-1993) did not help to save the game for Ulcinj. Point guard Haris Karamanaga (188-2001) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. Ulcinj’s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Vukovi Zeta moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Ulcinj keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Vukovi Zeta will meet at home bottom-ranked Sedmica (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ulcinj will play against Rudar in Pljevlja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
