PGE-Spojnia-Stargard (EBL) signed 25-year old Bosnian international power forward Ajdin Penava (206cm-102kg-1997, college: Marshall). Penava already started the season at Slavija in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. In 8 games he had very impressive stats: 17.4ppg, 10.4rpg, 2.6apg, 2.1spg and 1.9bpg.
He has been also a member of Bosnia and Herzegovina international program for some years. Penava has regularly played for Bosnia and Herzegovina senior team since 2018.
He also represented Bosnia at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Volos (Greece) seven years ago. Penava’s team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 9 games: 5.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.1spg, 1.1bpg, FGP: 44.4%, 3PT: 40.0%, FT: 50.0%.
Penava has played previously professionally in Belgium (Belfius Mons Hainaut) and Spain (Baskonia and Grupo Eleyco Baskonia B team). His team made it to the Belgian League Semifinals in 2022.
He was voted All-C-USA Defensive Player of the Year back in 2018.
Penava graduated from Marshall University in 2018 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
