Worth to mention a great performance of French point guard Ludovic Beyhurst (172-1999) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international center Pavle Djurisic (206-2000, college: Austin Peay) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Podgorica’s coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian forward Bozo Djurasovic (201-1987) replied with 9 points and 9 rebounds for Primorje 1945. Podgorica keeps a position of league leader. Primorje 1945 at the other side keeps the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Lovcen and Jedinstvo. (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!). SC Derby moved-up to second place, which they share with Sutjeska. Jedinstvo at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Lovcen and Primorje 1945. SC Derby’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Podgorica to the arena Podgorica.

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Milenijum (5-4) beat one of their biggest challengers Teodo (5-4) in Tivat 70-63 on Sunday. Point guard Marko Raicevic (187-1995) notched 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and Luka Zugic (196-2000) supported him with 19 points. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by center Dragan Bjeletic (205-1992) did not help to save the game for Teodo. The former international point guard Milos Krivokapic (185-1996, agency: BIG) added 19 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Teodo’s coach Dusan Dubljevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Milenijum moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Teodo. Milenijum will meet at home Decic (#7) in the next round. Teodo will play against Sutjeska in Niksic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Lovcen (3-6) lost to seventh ranked Mornar (4-4) in Bar 75-93 on Wednesday. Mornar forced 20 Lovcen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mornar made 8 blocks. Forward Nikola Rakocevic (200-2002) notched 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the effort and center Lazar Radetic (204-2003) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Serbian forward Bogdan Rutesic (202-2000, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Lovcen. Bosnian center Alija Islamovic (207-2001) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mornar moved-up to sixth place.
