17-year old forward Zaccharie Risacher (200-F-2005) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for ASVEL and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Strasbourg (#10, 7-7) with 25-point margin 95-70. Thanks to this victory ASVEL moved-up to the 4th position in French league. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. ASVEL will need more victories to improve their 11-3 record. In the team’s last game Risacher had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be ASVEL’s top player in his first season with the team. Zaccharie Risacher averages this season 16.0ppg and 7.6rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Guillaume Grotzinger (195-F/G-2004) of Nancy. He is a swingman in his first season at Nancy. In the last game Grotzinger recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 12 assists. Of course Nancy cruised to a 73-64 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Fos-Provence (#13, 6-9). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Nancy managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Grotzinger is a newcomer at Nancy and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 4.4rpg and 7.1apg.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Lucas Dufeal (204-F-2003) of league’s leader Cholet. Dufeal scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Cholet, leading his team to a 92-57 easy win against the lower-ranked Dijon (#11, 6-8). Cholet confirms their top position in the standings. Dufeal has a very solid season. In 14 games in France he scored 13.7ppg. He also has 7.0rpg, 2.1bpg and FGP: 76.2%.
