American Power forward Jimmy Hall (203-PF-1994) had a great game in the last round for H.Afula, receiving a Hoops Agents National League Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to crush M.Haifa (#11, 3-6) with 23-point margin 92-69. H.Afula maintains the 3rd position in Israeli National League. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. H.Afula will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. Hall turned to be H.Afula’s top player in his first season with the team. Former Kent State University star has very solid stats this year. Hall is in league’s top in points (7th best: 18.4ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.0rpg) and averages impressive 55.1% FGP.
The second best player in last round’s games was young Canadian Eddie Ekiyor (206-C-1997) of M.Ma’ale Adum.. Ekiyor had a very good evening with 34 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for M.Ma’ale Adum. to edge the lower-ranked E.Shomron (#12, 3-6) 85-84. M.Ma’ale Adum.’s 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ekiyor is a newcomer at M.Ma’ale Adum., but is already one of team’s top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#4). He also registered 9.0 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tyler Wideman (203-PF-1995) of Ramat Hash. (#10). Wideman scored 24 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Ramat Hash., leading his team to a 86-82 win against slightly higher-ranked M.Ramat Gan (#8, 4-5). The chances of Ramat Hash. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Wideman could try to bring Ramat Hash.’s a little bit higher in the standings. Wideman has individually a great season in Israel. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 11.1rpg (2nd best).

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
