The most exciting game of round 7 in the Prva B took place in Golubovci. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Kotor (4-2) to fifth ranked Vukovi Zeta (5-2) 86-85 in the game for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kotor. Vukovi Zeta forced 21 Kotor turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Zeljko Matanovic (-2001) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Drazen Otasevic contributed with 28 points and 6 steals for the winners. Vukovi Zeta’s coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Krsto Sucur answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists for Kotor. Vukovi Zeta moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Kotor dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with SC Derby 2. Vukovi Zeta are looking forward to face Balkanski Ris (#7) in the next round. Kotor will play against Rudar and is hoping to win this game.
Prva B top team – Pljevlja (6-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Podgorica-2 (3-3) 72-66. It was a great evening for Hargnett Emahija who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. Stefan Dzogazovic helped adding 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side guard Amar Hot (185-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Podgorica-2’s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Undefeated Pljevlja have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Podgorica-2 at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Balkanski Ris. Pljevlja will play against Zeta (#10) in Golubovci in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Podgorica-2’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Podgorica to the arena Akademik.
Bottom-ranked Sedmica is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to third ranked Lim (5-1) 76-66 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Danilo Joksimovic who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Ivan Rakocevic came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for Sedmica in the defeat. Sedmica’s coach tested twelve players, but that didn’t help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Lim. Newly promoted Lim maintains third place with 5-1 record behind leader Pljevlja. Sedmica lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Lim will meet at home SC Derby 2 (#6) in the next round. Sedmica will play against Ulcinj (#12) in Ulcijn and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Balkanski Ris was smashed by SC Derby 2 on the road 90-69. Winless Rudar lost to Akademik on its own court 69-82. Montenegro managed to outperform Zeta in a road game 70-59.
The most impressive performance of 7th round was 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Nikola Bojicic of Montenegro.

Sedmica – Lim 66-76

Bottom-ranked Sedmica is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to third ranked Lim (5-1) 76-66 on Saturday evening. Lim outrebounded Sedmica 46-23 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Danilo Joksimovic who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Stefan Radunovic accounted for 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. SC Derby 2 – Balkanski Ris 90-69

Everything could happen in Podgorica at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked SC Derby 2 and 6th ranked Balkanski Ris had identical 3-2 record. This time SC Derby 2 used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from 90-69 on Tuesday night. SC Derby 2 made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. SC Derby 2 outrebounded Balkanski Ris 49-28 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Vasilija Todorovic who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). David Mirkovic (200-2006) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. SC Derby 2’s coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Holden Redpardh came up with 29 points and 6 rebounds and forward Nikola Vemic (197-1998) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Balkanski Ris in the defeat. Four Balkanski Ris players scored in double figures. SC Derby 2 (4-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kotor. Newly promoted Balkanski Ris dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Podgorica 2. SC Derby 2 will meet higher ranked Lim (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Balkanski Ris will play against Vukovi Zeta (#4) and hope to secure a win.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Rudar‘s (0-6) home loss to tenth ranked Akademik (3-4) in Pljevlja 69-82 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for Nikola Jankovic who led the winners and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Dusan Vucelic accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five Akademik players scored in double figures. Vucko Markovic (-2000) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Nikola Cupara (188-1997) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Rudar in the defeat. Akademik moved-up to ninth place. Rudar lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Ulcinj. Akademik’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Podgorica Podgorica-2.

Zeta – Montenegro 59-70

Very predictable result when third ranked Montenegro (6-1) won against 9th ranked Zeta (2-4) in Golubovci 70-59 on Sunday. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Zeta’s 30. It was an exceptional evening for center Nikola Bojicic (198-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Sava Milatovic (-2002) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Power forward Dejan Posuka (197-1997) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Predrag Lazarevic (-1981) added 7 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Zeta in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Montenegro. They moved-up to second place. Loser Zeta dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Montenegro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zeta will play against the league’s leader Pljevlja (#1) and hope to secure a win.
