Mansour Kasse
Senegalese Mansour Kasse (208-C-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for Villars and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents NLB Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 30-year old center had a double-double of 27 points and twelve rebounds, while his team outclassed Baeren (#12, 1-9) with 27-point margin 77-50. Villars maintains the 8th position in Swiss NLB. Villars is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team’s last game Kasse had a remarkable 92.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Villars’ top player in his first season with the team. Kasse has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 54.5% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young Belgian point guard Francis Torreborre (184-PG-1993) of Winterthur. Torreborre impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Winterthur was edged by CNBS (6-4) 76-73. This loss caused Winterthur to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Torreborre is well-known by Winterthur fans and he already established his position as one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 6.4rpg and 7.5apg.
The third best performed player last round was Mario Gull (195-F-1998) of GC Zurich (#3). Gull showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of GC Zurich, leading his team to a 77-76 win against the lower-ranked Acad.Fribourg (#7, 5-5). GC Zurich needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Gull has a great season in Switzerland. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in assists with 5.0apg (4th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
