Luis Figge

Swingman Luis Figge (197-G/F-1997, agency: LUMANI 10.7) had a great game in the last round for Giessen, receiving a Hoops Agents ProA Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, three rebounds and five assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to crush Bochum (#15, 2-7) with 19-point margin 108-89. Giessen is placed at 3rd position in German ProA. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Giessen will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. In the team’s last game Figge had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Luis Figge averages this season 10.1ppg.

The second best player in last round’s games was young American J.J. Mann (198-SF-1991, agency: GoEmpire Group) of Hagen. Mann had a very good evening with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Hagen cruised to a 109-100 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Duesseldorf (#13, 4-5). This victory allowed Hagen to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mann is a newcomer at Hagen, but is already one of team’s top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#8). He also recorded 3.4 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Serbian guard Vuk Radojicic (184-PG-2001, agency: LUMANI 10.7) of Jena (#4). Radojicic scored 25 points and passed ten assists (!!!). He was a key player of Jena, leading his team to a 101-86 easy win against the lower-ranked Trier (#17, 2-7). Jena needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Radojicic has a very solid season. In 7 games in Germany he scored 7.7ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
