Forward Karolis Brusokas (202-F-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for Stekas, receiving a Hoops Agents NKL Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Kretinga (#11, 5-9) 85-72. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Stekas is placed at 10th position in Lithuanian NKL. Stekas is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-9 record. Brusokas has many years of experience at Stekas, through which he has constantly improved. Karolis Brusokas has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (7th best: 7.0rpg) and averages impressive 58.8% FGP.
The second best player in last round’s games was young Rytis Zabita (199-C-1994) of Kretinga. Zabita had a very good evening with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Kretinga lost that game 72-85 to slightly higher-ranked Stekas (#10, 6-9). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Kretinga dropped in the standings to 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 5-9 record. Zabita is one of the most experienced players at Kretinga and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was guard Ernestas Jonkus (187-G-1999) of Vytis (#5). Jonkus scored 20 points. Despite Jonkus’ great performance Vytis lost 63-81 to slightly lower-ranked Vilkaviskis (#6, 7-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Vytis needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 4 lost games. Jonkus has a very solid season. In 10 games in Lithuania he scored 10.0ppg. He also has 3.7apg and FGP: 52.3%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
