Lovro Buljevic
24-year old power forward Lovro Buljevic (211-F/C-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Helios Suns and receives a Hoops Agents ABA 2nd League Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Osijek (#8, 1-2) with 35-point margin 107-72. Helios Suns maintains the 2nd position in ABA League . They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Helios Suns already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team’s last game Buljevic had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Helios Suns’ top player in his first season with the team. Buljevic has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (7th best: 7.7rpg) and averages solid 75.0% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Tadija Tadic (194-PG-1999) of Zlatibor. He is a guard in his 2nd season at Zlatibor. In the last game Tadic recorded impressive 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Zlatibor to another comfortable win 90-76 over TFT (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Tadic is well-known at Zlatibor and he already established his position as one of the team’s leaders.
Third place about best performers goes to another Zlatibor’s star – guard Nemanja Protic (182-PG-1986). Protic scored 19 points and passed six assists. He was another key player of Zlatibor, helping his team with a 90-76 easy win against TFT (#14, 0-3). Zlatibor started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Protic turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Protic has a very solid season. In 3 games in ABA League he scored 12.0ppg.
