Darion Rackley
American Darion Rackley (187-SG-1992) had a great game in the last round for Delikatesas and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents NKL Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 30-year old shooting guard had the game-high 23 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Delikatesas in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Stekas (#9, 5-7) 82-75. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Delikatesas is placed at 10th position in Lithuanian NKL. Delikatesas is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-8 record. It’s Rackley’s second year at Delikatesas and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Darion Rackley averages this season 11.8ppg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young guard Martynas Mazeika (193-G-1985, agency: Interperformances) of Kretinga. Mazeika impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Kretinga lost that game 81-111 to the higher-ranked Suduva-Mantinga (#3, 11-2). Kretinga managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 5-7 record. Mazeika is a newcomer at Kretinga and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 4.2rpg and 4.1apg.
The third best performed player last round was Aurelijus Pukelis (205-PF-1994) of Suduva-Mantinga (#3). Pukelis showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Suduva-Mantinga, leading his team to a 111-81 easy win against the lower-ranked Kretinga (#8, 5-7). Suduva-Mantinga is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 11-2 record is not that bad… Pukelis has a great season in Lithuania. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 15.2ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 9.3rpg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
