Slovenian guard Miha Lapornik (194-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with 26 points and 4 assists. Lucenec (3-5) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Handlova. Defending champion Levice still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Inter Bratislava. Lucenec is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Prievidza (#8) on the road in the next round. Levice will play against the league’s second-placed Inter Bratislava (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Prievidza’s coach Krunoslav Krajnovic gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Handlova maintains sixth position with 3-5 record, which they share with Lucenec. Prievidza lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with six games lost. Handlova will play against higher ranked Iskra Svit (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Prievidza will play against Lucenec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Quite upsetting was Spisski Rytieri’s home defeat in a game versus Inter Bratislava 93-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spisski Rytieri. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was Tomas Zdanavicius who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Isaiah Washington produced a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the hosts. Inter Bratislava have a solid four-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Levice lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Spisski Rytieri at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Inter Bratislava will meet league’s leader Levice on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spisski Rytieri will play against Komarno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Prievidza – Handlova 59-93

Very significant was Handlova’s (#6) 34-point road victory against 8th ranked Prievidza 93-59.
