The most exciting game of round 1 in the Caucasus Basketball League took place in Yerevan. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of Cilicia to Mad Foxes 88-86 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Kaleb Hunter (193, college: UNCG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Damian Archer (183-1996, college: Miles) chipped in 22 points. At the losing side forward Troy Jones (201, college: TAMUK) responded with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Mad Foxes is looking forward to face Delta in Gurjaani in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cilicia will play at home against Olimpi and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

American Jamal McCoy (196-1993, college: Bluefield St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for Supersonics in the defeat. Chris Donaldson produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. New Bayazet will meet at home Delta in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Supersonics will have a break next round.
