The game between second ranked Kvarner 2010 (5-2) and fifth ranked Zagreb (5-2) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Kvarner 2010 was defeated by Zagreb in Zagreb 74-64. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Zagreb forced 20 Kvarner 2010 turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Dino Butorac (191-1990) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Kristijan Joksimovic (198-1995, college: Bethany, KS) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American swingman Courtney Fells (199-1986, college: NC State) responded with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Zagreb have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kvarner 2010 and Osijek. Zagreb is looking forward to face league’s second-placed Omis-Cagalj T. in Galeb in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kvarner 2010 will play at home against Mladost and is hoping to win this game.
Prva Liga top team – Dubrovnik (6-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Kastela (3-3) in Kastela Sucurac 99-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kastela. It was a quality performance for Filip Vujicic (195-2000) who led the winners and scored 26 points. Javon Levi accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Ante Perkusic (196-2002) came up with 14 points and 5 rebounds for Kastela in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dubrovnik have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Kastela at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Mladost. Dubrovnik will play against bottom-ranked Sonik P. (#12) in Zadar in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Kastela will play on the road against Samobor (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: Jazine was destroyed by Omis-Cagalj T. on the opponent’s court 86-65. Osijek outscored Stoja Pula in a home game 109-82. Samobor recorded a loss to H.Analitica on the road 92-79.

Very expected game in Galeb where 8th ranked Jazine (3-4) was crushed by third ranked Omis-Cagalj T. (5-1) 86-65. Omis-Cagalj T. players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Donald Morris (180-1993) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Ivan Rasetina (198-1991) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Morris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Omis-Cagalj T. players scored in double figures. Guard Maksim Matulina (189-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Krsevan Klarica (196-2003) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Jazine in the defeat. They share it with Samobor. Osijek will play against Jazine (#9) in Zadar in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Stoja Pula will play at home against H.Analitica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
