Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The biggest surprise took place in Vilniaus where host SKM I (2-0) crushed league’s leader Penevezio SC (2-1) 91-71 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Penevezio SC. It was a key game for the top position in the league. SKM I keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Perkunas and Alytaus. Penevezio SC at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by SKM I. Penevezio SC will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. SKM I will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Rokiskio in Rokiskis.
Undefeated Ukmerges SC (1-1) recorded its first loss on the court of sixth ranked Panevezio. Visitors were defeated by Panevezio 74-63. Panevezio (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Utenos. Ukmerges SC at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Palangos. Panevezio will play against higher ranked Vilniaus KM I (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ukmerges SC will play against Utenos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Palangos (1-1) against fourth ranked Siauliu (2-1) on Sunday night. Host Palangos was defeated by Siauliu in Palanga 111-97. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Siauliu moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Palangos dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Ukmerges SC. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There was no surprise in Kaunas where bottom-ranked Jonavos (0-2) was crushed by top-ranked Perkunas (2-0) 99-49 on Sunday. Perkunas keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Alytaus and SKM I. Loser Jonavos still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Kedainiu and Jurbanko. Perkunas’ supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Zalgiris.
