Newly promoted Manisa-Buyuksehir-Belediye (BSL) landed 28-year old American 196cm shooting guard Wayne Selden (college: Kansas), agency: Slash Sports. Selden already started the season at Tezenis Scaligera Verona in Italian Serie A. In two games he averaged impressive 20.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.0apg.
He represented USA at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) seven years ago. Selden’s team won Gold and his stats at that event were 8 games: Score-2 (19.3ppg), 6.5rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 59.7%, 3PT: 37.5%, FT: 58.8%.
Selden is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Selden has played previously professionally in China (Heroes), Israel (Ironi Nes Ziona), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Chicago Bulls, NY Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers), Turkey (Afyon) and NBA Summer League (NY Knicks). His team won Big 12 Regular Season in 2014, 2015 and 2016. He was voted to All-Big 12 Honorable Mention back in 2014 and 2015.
He graduated from University of Kansas in 2016 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
