Forward Halvine Dzellat-Diakeno (200-F-2004) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Blois, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 18-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Gravelines (#16, 1-8) with 16-point margin 86-70. Blois is placed at 4th position in French ProA U21. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Blois will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. Dzellat-Diakeno turned to be Blois’ top player in his first season with the team. Halvine Dzellat-Diakeno averages this season 15.1ppg and 8.0rpg.

The second best player in last round’s games was young Maxime Galin (202-F-2002) of Bourg. Galin had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Bourg to another comfortable win 87-70 over the lower-ranked Strasbourg (#15, 3-5) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Bourg managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 11th place. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Galin is a newcomer at Bourg, but is already one of team’s top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.8ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 6.1rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Matys Pommier (196-F-2002) of Monaco (#13). Pommier scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Monaco, leading his team to a 80-65 easy win against the higher-ranked Dijon (#7, 5-3). The chances of Monaco ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Pommier could help Monaco to bring them higher in the standings. Pommier has a very solid season. In 7 games in France he scored 10.9ppg. He also has 4.6rpg and FGP: 52.0%.
