It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Asseco Arka. It was a great shooting night for Trefl especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American guard Garrett Nevels (188-1992, college: Hawaii) fired 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Wesley Gordon (205-1994, college: Colorado) chipped in 9 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard James Florence (185-1988, college: Mercer) produced 18 points and 5 assists for lost side. Asseco Arka’s coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn’t help. Trefl have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Stal. Asseco Arka at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Trefl is looking forward to face league’s second-placed Stal in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Asseco Arka will play on the road against Spojnia in Stargard and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Sokol can celebrate finally their first win this season after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Start (3-4) on the road game in Lublin 83-74. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Raynere Thornton (201-1997, college: Memphis, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. Mateusz Szczypinski contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Sherron Dorsey-Walker (195-1993, college: Oakland) answered with 21 points for Start. Sokol (1-6) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Twarde Pierniki and Astoria. Start at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Spojnia and Czarni. Sokol will play against Enea Astoria (#14) in Bydgoszcz in the next round. Start will play on the road against the league’s leader WKS Slask (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
Undefeated leader WKS Slask delivered the seventh consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they beat 12th ranked MKS DG (2-4) 103-96 in Dabrowa Gornicza. It was a great evening for Jeremiah Martin who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 4 steals. At the losing side Alonzo Verge Jr responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Undefeated WKS Slask (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Loser MKS DG keeps the twelfth position with four games lost. They share it with GTK. WKS Slask will meet at home Start (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MKS DG will play against Legia and hope to secure a win.

Other games of round 7 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
GTK was crushed by Stal in Ostrow Wlkp. 100-76. King beat Spojnia at home 97-95. Zastal won against Astoria on the opponent’s court 91-73. Legia managed to outperform Twarde Pierniki in a home game 81-68. Czarni recorded a loss to Anwil on the road 79-70.

Stal – GTK 100-76

There was no surprise in Ostrow Wlkp. where 13th ranked GTK (2-4) was crushed by second ranked Stal (6-1) 100-76 on Thursday. Stal looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Jakub Garbacz (197-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Adonis Thomas (195-1993, college: Memphis, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 22 points. At the losing side Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-1988, agency: 011 Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American Terrance Ferguson (198-1997) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stal maintains second place with 6-1 record behind leader Slask, which they share with Trefl. GTK lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Everything could happen in Szczecin at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Wilki Morskie and 9th ranked Spojnia had identical 3-3 record. This time Wilki Morskie used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Stargard 97-95 on Sunday night. Wilki Morskie shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wilki Morskie made 9 blocks.
