The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Turkish Suadiye (0-1) in Istanbul on Thursday night. Hosts were rolled over by top-ranked Bulgarian BUBA (1-0) 88-69. BUBA left bottom position moving up to twenty third place. Suadiye at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost.
Very important is a home loss of V.Knasiaus against top-ranked Zalgiris (5-0) on Sunday night. Host V.Knasiaus unexpectedly were defeated by in Klaipeda 42-56. Kristupas Miselis had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mantas Siaulaitis chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Kipras Redeckas responded with 8 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BVBS was beaten by DSN in a home game 57-68. Audentes lost to undefeated RHKK on the road 49-82.

Honka – Blackeberg 47-50

Swedish Blackeberg’s fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Espoo, where they edged Finnish Honka (0-5) 50-47 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 16-7 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Blackeberg dominated on the defensive end, holding Honka to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Strangely Honka outrebounded Blackeberg 43-29 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Blackeberg made 7 blocks.
