Sarunas Vasiliauskas

33-year old Lithuanian international 188cm point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas left CSO-Voluntari (Liga Nationala). The team played in four different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In three Liga Nationala games he recorded 9.3ppg, 1.0rpg and 3.0apg this season. Vasiliauskas also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 7.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 3.0apg. And finally he recorded 2 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 11.0ppg and 4.0apg.
He managed to play in three leagues this year (!!!). Similarly like in the last season, the team also played in three different competitions that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. He played there also last season. In 39 Liga Nationala games he got 13.7ppg, 2.2rpg and 5.3apg (leader !!!). He helped them to win the cup. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Second Team. The other team he played shortly was Voluntari. Vasiliauskas played there also last season. He also played 1 game in FIBA Europe Cup where he got impressive 19 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
Vasiliauskas has been also a member of Lithuanian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Lithuanian senior team since 2014 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2009.
Vasiliauskas represented Lithuania at the World Cup in Spain eight years ago. Vasiliauskas’ team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 8 games: 2.3ppg, 1.3apg.
He is a very experienced player. Vasiliauskas has played also professionally in Canada (Scarborough), Poland (Trefl), Russia (Ruskon Mordovia), Turkey (Trabzonspor, Gaziantep, Usak and Socar Petkim), Spain (Joventut) and Lithuania (Zalgiris, LSU-Atletas, Lietkabelis, Prienai CBet and Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys).
Among many awards his team won Polish Supercup in 2014. He was selected to Eurobasket.com Lithuanian LKL All-Domestic Players Team back in 2016.
