They outrebounded Telsiai 45-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. 28 personal fouls committed by Telsiai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard DJ Hanes (185-95, college: Nebraska Chr., agency: One Motive Sports) who scored 20 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Center Laurynas Mikalauskas (203-85, college: Virginia) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds. Palanga’s coach Povilas Sakinis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Center Mindaugas Norkus (201-85) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Palanga maintains ninth place with 11-12 record. Telsiai at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Gargzdu. They were replaced at the leadership position by Suduva-Mantinga. Telsiai will play next round against Vilkaviskis trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Palanga will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole.
