CSKA U23 smashed N.Novgorod-2 in Moscow 82-45. CSKA U23 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to N.Novgorod-2’s 28. CSKA U23 forced 37 N.Novgorod-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when CSKA U23 made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Vlasislav Mikheev (193-2004) who scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Rostislav Gusev (204-2006) chipped in 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Center Stepan Gontar (211-2002) produced 11 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. N.Novgorod-2 will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. The game in Khimki supposed to be also worth to mention about. MBA-2 played at the court of Khimki-2. MBA-2 smashed Khimki-2 79-58. Center Maksim Savchenko (208-2004) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Pasha Ismailov contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Sergei Kudrin (199-2004) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds for Khimki-2. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Khimki-2 will play at home against Runa-2 to get more than just one victory in their record.

Maksim Savchenko scored 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Mussa Kipkeev responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MBA-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Khimki-2 will play against Runa-2 and hope to win that game.
Rest of the games of round 2 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Runa-2 crushed Parma-2 in Moscow 92-63. Winless Enisey-2 was beaten by Unics-2 at home 84-86. Winless Avtodor-2 lost to undefeated Zenit-2 on the opponent’s court 70-85. Winless Parma-2 was outscored by Runa-2 in a home game 73-96.
The best stats of 2nd round was 12 points and 9 assists by Vitaly Savitskiy of Runa-2.

They outrebounded Parma-2 49-15 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Runa-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Pavel Gankevich (201-2003) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sergey Grashkin (201-2002, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest.
