International Point guard Lukasz Kolenda (195-PG-1999) had a great game in the last round for league’s leader Slask and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 23-year old playmaker had the game-high 30 points adding five assists for Slask in his team’s victory, helping them to crush King (#8, 2-2) with 25-point margin 103-78. It allowed Slask to consolidate first place in the Polish EBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Slask already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team’s last game Kolenda had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It’s his second year at Slask and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Lukasz Kolenda averages this season 15.5ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young international power forward Damian Kulig (205-F/C-1987, agency: BeoBasket) of second-ranked Stal. Kulig impressed basketball fans with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Of course Stal cruised to a 85-76 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked MKS DG (#12, 1-2). Stal’s second position in the standings has not changed. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Kulig is well-known by Stal fans and he already established his position as one of team’s most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Zac Cuthbertson (201-F-1996) of King (#8). Cuthbertson scored 23 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Cuthbertson’s great performance King lost 78-103 to the league’s current leader Slask (#1, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing King needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Cuthbertson has a very solid season. In 4 games in Poland he scored 13.0ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
