Here is the weekly review of the top performing Israeli players, who play currently abroad.
   #1. This week’s number one is former international point guard Tamir Blatt (178-1997, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his German team ALBA Berlin to a victory over Partizan 100-84 in the Euroleague in Friday night’s game.
Blatt was MVP of the game. He recorded 16 points and added 4 assists in 21 minutes on the court. It was his first game for ALBA Berlin this season.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. His team is placed second in the Euroleague.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Blatt played for the Israeli senior national team year ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U18 international forward TJ Leaf (208-1997, college: UCLA, currently plays in China). He could not help Ducks (0-1) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Leaf’s very good performance Ducks were edged 81-80 on the road by the leading Sturgeons.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds. Leaf also added 5 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals. It was his first game for Ducks this season.
Leaf is a naturalized American.
Despite he played previously for the USA U19 national team, Leaf played also for the Israeli U18 national team in 15.
Strangely he has never played in Israel.

   #3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was former international small forward Yovel Zoosman (198-1998, currently plays in Germany) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tamir Blatt. But that was another game of his team in German BBL which we would like to mention.
Zoosman contributed to an ALBA Berlin‘s victory against the eighth-ranked EWE Baskets (2-1) 89-81.
He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes.
ALBA Berlinis placed first in the BBL.
This year Zoosman averages: 5.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 25.0%, 3FGP: 16.7% and FT: 83.3% in two games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.
Former Maccabi Fox Tel-Aviv starter played for the Israeli national team year ago.

   #4. Point guard Yam Madar (190-2000, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in ABA League) contributed to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked MZT Skopje (0-2) 92-74 in the KLS last Monday.
He scored 12 points and added 3 passes in 24 minutes.
KK Partizan Mozzart Bet Beogradis placed in group x.
Madar has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 26.3ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.8apg and 1.8spg in four games.
Madar used to play for the Israeli national team
back in 22.
   #5. Former international guard Max Heidegger (191-1997, college: UCSB, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Merkezefendi in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance his team was defeated 93-80 in Istanbul by the much lower-ranked Dacka (#11).
Heidegger was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 7 passes. It was his first game for Merkezefendi this season.
Heidegger is a naturalized American.
He used to play for the Israeli national team
years ago.
Heidegger played also for Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv in Israeli league.

   #6. Center Gabriel Chachashvili (212-1999, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Brose Bamberg (3-0) in their game against Telekom Baskets (2-0) in the German BBL.
He scored 8 points, had 5 rebounds, passed 3 assists and added 2 blocks in 23 minutes.
The league leader Brose Bamberg lost 76-84 in Bonn to the lower-ranked (#3) Telekom Baskets.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
This year Chachashvili’s overall stats are: 5.3ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.3apg in three games.
He is a former international player as he played for the Israeli senior team year ago.

   #7. An experienced former U18 international power forward Anton Kazarnovski (206-1985, currently plays in Croatia) couldn’t help Jazine (0-2) in their game against Dubrovnik (1-1) in the Croatian Prva Liga (second division).
Kazarnovski scored only 4 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. It was his first game for Jazine this season.
Jazine was badly defeated 78-59 on the opponent’s court by the higher-ranked Dubrovnik (#8).
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Kazarnovski used to play for the Israeli U18 national team
years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Israeli passport but never been selected to any of Israeli national teams:

   #1. Roman Rubinshteyn (194-G/F-1996, currently plays in Belarus) led Impuls BGUIR to a victory over the sixth-ranked Gomel (0-4) 73-59 in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night’s game.
Rubinshteyn was the best player in that game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 12 rebounds. Rubinshteyn also added 4 assists.
Impuls BGUIR Minsk (2-2) is placed third in Group A.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
Rubinshteyn has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 26.3ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.8apg and 1.8spg.
Rubinshteyn has a dual citizenship: Israeli and Belarusian.

   #2. Israel Kolomoisky (194-F/G-1999, agency: Interperformances, college: CSU, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) contributed to Budivelnyk‘s victory against the closely-ranked Brindisi (0-1) 74-70 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday.
Kolomoisky recorded 6 points. It was his first game for Budivelnyk this season.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. His team is placed second in the FIBA Europe Cup.
His team will play only one more game in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Kolomoisky is another player who holds two passports: Israeli and Swiss.

   #3. Jonathan Peleg (191-G-1994, currently plays in Sweden) was the main contributor in Hogsbo‘s victory against the 11th-ranked IK Eos (1-2) 99-88 in the Swedish Superettan (second division) on Sunday night.
He was the best player in that game. Peleg recorded 27 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists in 32 minutes.
Hogsbo Basket Goteborg (3-0) is placed first in the Superettan.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Peleg has very impressive stats this year: 26.7ppg, 5.3rpg, 7.3apg and 3.3spg in three games he played so far.
He has both Israeli and Swedish nationalities.

   #4. Experienced Adrian Banks (191-SG-1986, college: Arkansas St., currently plays in Italy). He could not help Treviso to beat Trento (1-2).
Banks scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 26 minutes.
His team lost 57-66 on the road to the lower-ranked (#4) Trento.
This year Banks’ total stats are: 7.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.0apg in two games.
He is a naturalized American.
Banks used to play for Elitzur Netanya in Israeli league.

   #5. Micah Elan (193-G-1997, agency: Helping Ballers, college: Pomona-Pitzer, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Melilla in their game against Ponferrada (2-0) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division).
He scored 9 points and added 3 passes.
But the fourth-placed Melilla (0-3) was badly defeated 98-78 on the opponent’s court by the lower-ranked Ponferrada (#4) in the West group.
So far Melilla lost all three games in the Regular Season.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Elan’s total stats this season are: 8.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 3.5apg.
He is a naturalized American.
Elan used to play for Next Urban Maccabi Haifa in Israeli league.
