26-year old guard Steve Jr Robinson (165-G-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for league’s best team Furstenfeld and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 35 points adding five rebounds and six assists for Furstenfeld in his team’s victory, helping them to edge out Arkadia (#7, 0-1), the league’s bottom-ranked team 81-77. It allowed Furstenfeld to take over top position in the Austrian league. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Furstenfeld won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Robinson had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Furstenfeld’s top player in his first season with the team. Mount Saint Mary’s University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Robinson is league’s best scorer averaging so far 35.0ppg. Robinson is in league’s top in and averages solid 3.0spg,63.6% FGP and 100.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Urald King (198-F/C-1990) of league’s second-best Gmunden. He is American forward in his first season at Gmunden. In the last game King recorded impressive double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Gmunden to edge Vienna (0-1) by 3 points 95-92. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. King is a newcomer at Gmunden and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.0ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 11.0rpg and 5.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to center Jozo Rados (206-C-1993) of Vienna (#12). Rados showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Rados’ great performance Vienna lost 92-95 to Gmunden (#2, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Rados as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team’s leader.
