Dziugas Slavinskas
24-year old forward Dziugas Slavinskas (203-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kolin and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 23 points adding eight rebounds for Kolin in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Olomoucko (#8, 0-1), the league’s bottom-ranked team 78-73. Thanks to this victory Kolin moved-up to the 3rd position in Czech Republic league. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Kolin won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Slavinskas turned to be Kolin’s top player in his first season with the team. Slavinskas has impressive league stats. He is league’s best scorer averaging so far 23.0ppg. Slavinskas is in league’s top in rebounds (9th best: 8.0rpg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Kameron Chatman (206-G/F-1996) of top-ranked Brno. He is American swingman in his first season at Brno. In the last game Chatman recorded impressive 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he led Brno to another comfortable win 92-79 over Slavia (0-1) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Chatman is a newcomer at Brno and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.0rpg and 7.0apg.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-F-1989) of league’s second-best Decin. Pomikalek scored 16 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Decin, leading his team to a 73-64 win against Usti n/Labem (#12, 0-1). Decin has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it’s too early to judge them at this stage. Pomikalek also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Pomikalek as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team’s leader.

7. David Bohm (206-F-2001) of USK Praha – 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Malik Morgan (193-G-1994) of NH Ostrava – 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Sreten Knezevic (206-F/C-1994) of Olomoucko – 19 points and 7 rebounds
10. Jonathan Williams (190-G-1995) of Olomoucko – 22 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
