Martin Novak (199-PF-1993) had a great game in the last round for league’s second-best Svitavy and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 29-year old power forward had the game-high 27 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Svitavy in his team’s victory, helping them to outclass Prostejov (#7, 1-2) with 71-point margin 120-49. Svitavy maintains the 2nd position in their group in Czech Republic 1Liga. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Svitavy already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team’s last game Novak had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Svitavy, through which he has constantly improved. Novak has impressive league stats. He is league’s best scorer averaging so far 27.0ppg. Novak is in league’s top in assists (8th best: 2.0apg) and averages solid 81.8% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young center Tomas Voslajer (211-C-1990) of Zlin. Voslajer impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Zlin cruised to a 97-88 relatively comfortable win over Ostrava (#9, 0-3). This victory allowed Zlin to move up to 4th position in East. His team’s 2-1 record is not bad at all. Voslajer is one of the most experienced players at Zlin and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was another Svitavy’s star – Krystof Bata (196-F-2000). Bata showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, seventeen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Svitavy, helping his team with a 120-49 easy win against the lower-ranked Prostejov (#7, 1-2). Svitavy started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game in East. Bata turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Bata has a great season in Czech Republic. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 13.3rpg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
