Anadolu Efes – Maccabi 87-81
Anadolu Efes earned the third position at the Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament. They topped Maccabi Tel Aviv behind 18 points from Vasilije Micic (196-PG-1994, agency: BeoBasket).
Anadolu Efes snatched a 21-20 lead ten minutes into the game. They went on a strong rally in the second quarter to gain a 58-36 halftime advantage. Anadolu Efes stayed in charge throughout the third term to take a 72-63 lead at the final break. Maccabi narrowed the gap in the fourth stanza but could not avoid the loss. Egehan Arna (202-SF-1997) tossed in 16 points for the Turkish team. Wade Baldwin IV (193-PG-1996, college: Vanderbilt) answered with 20 points for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
