There were only 2 rounds played so far and it’s still very beginning of the Regular Season in Superliga. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Bashkimi in Mitrovice on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Trepca 75-68. The best player for the winners was international swingman Erjon Kastrati (197-1994, agency: AltusBasket) who scored 20 points and 4 assists. American forward Clevon Brown (203-1998, college: FIU) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Bosnian-British center Fahro Alihodzic (208-1989, college: UAB) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Bashkimi’s coach Darko Radulovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Trepca is looking forward to face Rahoveci on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Bashkimi’s supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Prizren Prizreni.
Another exciting game was played in Therande between Prishtina and Ylli where Prishtina crushed Ylli on the road with 21-point difference 77-56. American forward Dustin Thomas (203-1995, college: Arkansas) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Derrick Wilson contributed with 11 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Prishtina’s coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Croatian forward Henrik Sirko (199-1993) replied with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for Ylli. Prishtina will play against Vellaznimi in Gjakove in the next round. Ylli will play on the road against Peja to get more than just one victory in their record.
A very close game took place in Prizren between Peja and Prizreni. Peja got a very close victory on the road over Prizreni. Peja managed to escape with a 3-point win 94-91 on Saturday evening. Rodney Purvis scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners. Ivan Koljevic responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Peja will meet at home Ylli in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prizreni’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Prizren to the arena Bashkimi.

In the last game of round 2 Rahoveci was defeated by Vellaznimi in Gjakove 94-87.
The best stats of 2nd round was 16 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 blocks by Damonte Dodd of Vellaznimi.

Ylli – Prishtina 56-77

Another exciting game was played in Therande between Prishtina and Ylli where Prishtina crushed Ylli on the road with 21-point difference 77-56. Prishtina forced 20 Ylli turnovers. There was a minor upset in Gjakove where Rahoveci was defeated by Vellaznimi 94-87 on Sunday. Vellaznimi had a 41-29 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vellaznimi made 11 blocks. American power forward Damonte Dodd (211-1994, college: Maryland) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Will Brown (213-1997, college: Fayetteville St.) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Vellaznimi’s coach Franko Sterle used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
