Taiwan Beer Herobears (T1 League) agreed terms with 26-year old Serbian center Milenko Veljkovic (217cm-1995) for upcoming 2022-23 season. He is the second import player in the roster as Australian Matt Hodgson signed here earlier.
He played last season at HKK Zrinjski HT Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. In 11 games he had 13.3ppg, 9.9rpg (#3 in the league), 2.5apg and 2.1bpg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played for Metalac in Serbian KLS where in 16 games he recorded 14.9ppg, 8.6rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.2apg. 2021-22 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League Regular Season Second Team.
He represented Serbia at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) five years ago. Veljkovic’s team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 7 games: 2.6ppg, 2.3rpg.
Veljkovic has played also professionally in Bulgaria (Chernomorets), Spain (Palencia) and Serbia (OKK Beograd, Srem, KK Mladost MaxBet Zemun, Smederevo and Vrsac). His team made it to the League Semifinals in 2015 and 2016.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League Honorable Mention back in 2017.
