Bayern – Monaco 67-80
Monaco stormed past Bayern at the Audi Dome in Munich. Mike James (185-G-1990, college: Lamar) came up with 15 points to lead the French team.
Bayern eked out a 23-22 lead ten minutes into the game. They extended the margin at 2-point mark heading into the locker room 39-37. But Monaco took over in the second half. They went on a strong 22-16 rally in the third term to spur ahead. Monaco then finished the game on a 21-12 run to ice the victory. Donta Hall (208-C-1997, college: Alabama) and Donatas Motiejunas (213-C-1990, agency: BeoBasket) provided 13 points apiece for Monaco. Cassius Winston (185-PG-1997, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 10 points, while Corey Walden (188-PG-1992, college: EKU) and Othello Hunter (203-C-1986, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) had 9 points each for Bayern.
