Unics Kazan (VTB) agreed terms with 30-year old point guard Maxim Tkachenko (185cm-85kg-1992, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) for new 2022-23 season. Tkachenko played last season at Novosybirsk in Russian Superleague 1.
He was a member of Russian U20 National Team back in 2011.
Tkachenko has played previously for six other teams: Spartak Sankt Petersburg, Lokomotiv, Ural Ekaterinburg, Krasny Oktyabr, Runa Basket and Khimki-Podmoskovye Moscow Region.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Superleague 1 Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague 1 Honorable Mention back in 2019.
