Alexander Madsen

AEK Athens (GBL) inked 27-year old Finn international 206cm center Alexander Madsen for upcoming season. Madsen has played for the last three years at VEF Riga in Latvian LBL league. He managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 8 LBL games he recorded 12.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.0apg and 1.4spg. Madsen also played 19 games in Lat-Est BL where he averaged 11.6ppg, 5.5rpg (#2 in the league), 1.6apg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg. And finally he contributed to 4 games in Basketball Champions League where he got 9.8ppg, 7.3rpg (#2 in the league), 2.0apg and 1.3spg.
He has been also a member of Finnish international program for some years. Madsen has regularly played for Finnish senior team since 2020 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2015.
He represented Finland at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) five years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 8.6ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.8apg, 1.8spg, 1.4bpg, FGP: 73.9%, 3PT: 38.5%, FT: 83.3%.
Madsen is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Italy, Spain (CBA Gran Canaria 2nd team), Czech Republic (USK Praha) and Finland (Kouvot and Kouvot Akatemia).
