Miloje Susic

The Regular Season in 2MLS just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Star in Novi Sad on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Zeleznicar C. 77-74. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Miloje Susic (196-99) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 assists. Forward Srdjan Krsmanovic (206-0) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Bosnian Stefan Matic (196-91) answered with 26 points for Star. Star’s coach Dragan Gutovic tried various players’ combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn’t help. Zeleznicar C. is looking forward to face Radnik SU in Surdulica in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Star will play at home against Borac ZM and is hoping to win this game.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Beograd: Zitko Basket and Beovuk 72. Despite it looked like an easy game for Zitko Basket, those rules do not exist in derby games. It’s more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. How else can you describe just 1 point victory of Zitko Basket 71-70. Guard Nemanja Zigon (191-96) stepped up and scored 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Stefan Zivanovic chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. At the losing side Ognjen Ivkovic (-2) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Zitko Basket will play against Spartak in Subotica in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Beovuk 72 will play at home against Pirot to get more than just one victory in their record.
An interesting game for Borac ZM which hosted in Zemun Napredak. Borac ZM managed to get a 9-point victory 79-70. David Burgic nailed 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Borac ZM’s coach Sinisa Matic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Martin Matovic came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Napredak in the defeat. Borac ZM will meet Star in the next round. Napredak will play against Konstantin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 1 were not that significant.
In Group A winless Klik A. lost to undefeated Konstantin on the road 79-85. Gajdobra won against Radnik SU on its own court 82-77.
In Group B winless Mladost SP lost to undefeated Spartak in Subotica 80-92. Proleter managed to beat Napredak Jnr at home 67-63. Winless Pirot lost to undefeated Cacak 94 on the opponent’s court 62-89.
