There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in TBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Erokspor (24-8) which hosted in Istanbul one of their biggest challengers Sigortam.net (22-10). Second ranked Erokspor managed to get a 13-point victory 90-77. Erokspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American center Jeremy Simmons (204-1989, college: Charleston) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Mustafa Gorur (204-1988) contributed with 16 points and 4 steals for the winners. American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-1994, college: Augusta) replied with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for Sigortam.net. Sigortam.net’s coach Ceyhun Cabadak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Erokspor have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 24-8 record behind leader Trabzonspor. Sigortam.net at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost. They share the position with Ankaragucu. Erokspor are looking forward to face TED Ankara (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sigortam.net will play against Cayirova (#6) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
TBL top team – Trabzonspor (25-7) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Balikesir BBS (15-17) 97-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Balikesir BBS. Worth to mention a quality performance of Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 9 rebounds and Ismail Ulusoy who added 25 points and 9 assists during the contest. American guard Alonzo Verge Jr (190-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 10 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Trabzonspor maintains first position with 25-7 record. Balikesir BBS at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with TED Ankara. Trabzonspor will play against Fenerbahce 2 (#11) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Balikesir BBS will play on the road against Ankaragucu and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Anka Spor is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 32th consecutive match to thirteenth ranked TED Ankara (15-17) 99-58 on Saturday evening. The winners were led by Ahmet Tunali who scored that evening 21 points and 5 rebounds. Even 11 points and 8 rebounds by Ali Bas did not help to save the game for Anka Spor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TED Ankara moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Balikesir BBS. Loser Anka Spor still closes the standings. TED Ankara will meet at home league’s second-placed Erokspor in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Anka Spor’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Haremspor.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 32: Cagdas BS beat Haremspor on the road 82-67. Bordo was destroyed by Cayirova on its own court 61-87. Cedi Osman unfortunately lost to Ankaragucu in a road game 81-92. Gaziantep managed to beat Konya BBSK at home 89-82. Ormanspor defeated Final Spor on the opponent’s court 74-67. Balikesir BBS beat Cedi Osman in a home game 87-84. Ankaragucu won against Final Spor on the road 90-85.
The most impressive performance of 32th round was 25 points and 10 rebounds by Tyrece Radford of Final Spor.


Balikesir BBS – Trabzonspor 85-97

TBL top team – Trabzonspor (25-7) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Balikesir BBS (15-17) 97-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Balikesir BBS. Trabzonspor players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Balikesir BBS was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Ismail Ulusoy (182-1996) who added 25 points and 9 assists during the contest. No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Bodrum (19-13) beat 9th ranked Haremspor (16-16) in Istanbul 82-67 on Monday. Cagdas BS had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Ahmet Cantitiz (193-1992) who scored that evening 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Chris Warren (177-1988, college: Ole Miss) supported him with 22 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Even 9 points and 10 rebounds by center Cihat Dalgali (205-2001) did not help to save the game for Haremspor. Guard Omer Sancakli (195-1992) added 14 points for the hosts. Haremspor’s coach Emrah Benli tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cagdas BS moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cayirova. Very expected game when 10th ranked Bordo (16-16) was smashed by sixth ranked Cayirova (19-13) in Balikesir 87-61 on Saturday. Cayirova dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bordo‘s 32. Cayirova looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cayirova made 8 blocks. The winners were led by American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 18 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the other American import center Jamari Traylor (203-1992, college: Kansas) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!).
