The best player for the winners was Israeli point guard Ben Saraf (197-2006) who scored 24 points and 5 assists. American guard Justinian Jessup (201-1998, college: Boise St.) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Jonas Richter (207-1997) who recorded 19 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ulm maintains second place with 19-7 record having just one point less than leader Bayern. Chemnitz at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Heidelberg. It was a good game for American-Puerto Rican point guard Shabazz Napier (185-1991, college: UConn) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Devin Booker contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Bayern Muenchen’s coach Gordon Herbert felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Sananda Fru (209-2003) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds for Braunschweig. Bayern Muenchen have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-6 record. Braunschweig at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Vechta. Bayern will play against Oldenburg (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Braunschweig will play against Goettingen (#17) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Hamburg Towers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Rostock and Wuerzburg. Loser MLP Academics Heidelberg dropped to the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Chemnitz. Hamburg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Heidelberg will play against Weissenfels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Weissenfels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. MBC made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Tyren Johnson (202-1988, college: Louisiana) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized American Spencer Reaves (191-1995, college: Central Mo.) helped adding 13 points and 6 assists. Four MBC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Malik Parsons (190-1999, college: NWOSU) with 14 points and 4 assists and Jacob Knauf (210-1997) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Weissenfels have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place.
