North Macedonian Adem Mekic (197-G/F-1995, agency: 011 Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for KB Bora Prishtina and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 29-year old swingman had the game-high 29 points adding eight rebounds and eight assists for Bora in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Prizreni (#8, 5-22) 102-87. Bora maintains the 7th position in Kosovan Superliga. Bora is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 9-18 record. In the team’s last game Mekic had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Bora‘s top player in his first season with the team. Mekic has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in assists (3rd best: 6.1apg) and averages solid 2.2spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young American shooting guard Jalen Nesbitt (198-SG-1993) of Golden Eagle Ylli. Nesbitt impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Ylli to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Vellaznimi (#6, 13-14) 86-63. This victory allowed Ylli to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team’s 14-13 record is not bad at all. Nesbitt is well-known by Ylli fans and he already established his position as one of team’s most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Mack Smith (188-G-1998) of top-ranked KB Bashkimi Prizren. Smith scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Bashkimi, leading his team to a 88-80 win against #3 ranked Sigal Prishtina in a game of the week. Bashkimi confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 8 lost games. Smith has a great season in Kosovo. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 13.4ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 4.5rpg (5th best) and assists with 3.2apg (6th best).
