There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in 2Liga. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Prudnik (27-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Pleszew (22-7) 90-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prudnik. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Pleszew looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Naturalized American swingman Michael Hicks (193-1983, college: Central Mo.) stepped up and scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Patryk Marek (194-1998) chipped in 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Tomasz Nowakowski (207-1990) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Pleszew moved-up to second place, which they share with Legionowo and Gniezno. Prudnik at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Pleszew is looking forward to face Pyra (#7) in Poznan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Prudnik will play on the road against Jelenia Gora (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Legionowo (22-7) against fifth ranked Minsk Maz. (18-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Legionowo was crushed by Minsk Maz. in Minsk Mazowiecki 102-83. Krzysztof Grudzien (196-1992) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Adam Lisewski accounted for 22 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Maksymilian Motel (194-2000) came up with 18 points and 5 assists for Legionowo in the defeat. Legionowo’s coach Lukasz Pacocha rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Minsk Maz. maintains fifth place with 18-11 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Legionowo at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Pleszew and Gniezno. Minsk Maz. will play against higher ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#3) in Bielsk Podlaski in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Legionowo will play at home against Radom 2 and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Visiting Tur Bielsk Pdl. was defeated by Lublinianka in a tough game in Lublin 87-93. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tur Bielsk Pdl.. The best player for the winners was Mateusz Wisniewski who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Piotr Lucka produced 20 points and 7 rebounds for the guests.
